The Spray Pioneer Museum is owned and operated by the City of Spray. The museum
is on Spray's main street (Highway 19/207). It is housed
in the community church building which was built in 1912.
The church building stood empty from the 1960's until
it was renovated in 1991 to become a museum. The museum
was officially opened in 1993. The curator collects and
displays historical data and artifacts dating from the
1800's to the present.
More information can be obtained
by calling Spray City Hall (541-468-2069) or by writing

There are also two pioneer
cemeteries of historical interest. Spray Cemetery, established
in 1876, is located across the John Day River from the
community. Haystack Cemetery, established in 1888, is
on Highway 19 approximately 8 miles from town.
